£220000 in compensation for suicide family
The husband of a woman who committed suicide after a catalogue of errors by the NHS meant she was neglected despite clearly
suffering from depression has been awarded £220,000 in compensation. It was argued the NHS trust had acted negligently as
failed to execute plan of referrals and treatment. The trust made many mistakes in its failure to communicate effectively
and did not co-ordinate the appropriate level of hospital care needed. Court proceedings were issued and the NHS Trust admitted
full liability.
