Argo International appoints deputy underwriter - casualty

Richard Smart has joined Argo International, a specialist Lloyd’s insurer and subsidiary of Argo Group International Holdings, as deputy underwriter – casualty, with immediate effect. He was previously head of professional indemnity at Newline Underwriting Management Ltd. before this, he worked as an underwriter at both Denham Syndicate Management Ltd and BP Theakston & Others. He will work alongside Paul Kneafsey, active underwriter – casualty, and a growing casualty underwriting team to manage and develop all casualty lines of business.
