£11,000 damages for broken ankle

A man who suffered a badly broken ankle when he was hit by a car while crossing the road has been awarded more than £11,000 in compensation. He was crossing over the road he was working on when a car driving along the road failed to notice him, and knocked him over. The defendant did not agree full liability for the accident, but eventually liability was agreed 75/25 in the man’s favour.
