Founder Dan Soffin announces departure from Gates & Partners

ONE of the founding partners of aerospace law firm Gates & Partners has announced he is to retire. Dan Soffin will remain
a consultant at the firm, having helped to establish the company almost seven years ago. He is moving to the US to be with
his wife, who recently took up a prestigious position at Baltimore’s John Hopkins Hospital. In his new role, he will use his
expertise in the aviation and liability fields, as well as his strong business knowledge, to explore new opportunities, as
well as working with the firm’s existing clients. Senior partner Sean Gates said: “As sad as we are Soffin is relocating,
we are also delighted he will continue to be able to work with us and we look forward to the opportunities his new role will
create and to continuing our relationship in its new form.”
