Online Catering Ltd v Acton and another CA, TLR 11 May

The claimants claimed damages for wrongful interference with goods against the defendants. Because the Bills of Sale Acts apply to individuals only and not to corporations, it followed where the agreement had been entered into by a company, namely the second defendant, that the charges relied on were not capable of being rendered void against the second defendant for lack of registration. Accordingly, the claimant could not succeed in establishing that the contract was unenforceable for want of registration.
