Lump sum payment of £2.3mn for brain damage RTA victim

A man who sustained brain damage as a result of a road accident has been awarded compensation for his suffering. He was on his way to work when he was involved in a head-on collision with another motorist. It was initially thought that he would not be able to walk again due to the extent of the injuries he suffered. However, he was gradually able to regain the ability to use his legs. He is to receive a lump sum payment of £2.3mn and will get a further index-linked and tax free sum of £145,000 for the rest of his life.
