Axis Global Accident & Health starts work

AXIS Global Accident & Health, a division of Bermuda’s Axis Capital, has officially begun underwriting operations in the US. Headed by Chicago-based Jay Hamilton as chief executive of North America accident and health, the business offers personal accident and business travel accident for employer groups, affinity groups and financial institutions, including banks, credit card issuers and credit unions. Hamilton was previously senior vice-president of North American accident and health for the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, and has also worked for CNA.
