CMA gets its first test as Cotswold reaches court

THE TRIAL of Peter Eaton and Cotswold Geotechnical Holdings Ltd (Cotswold Geotechnics), the first in the UK to be brought under the new Corporate Manslaughter Act (CMA), got off to a delayed start this week at Bristol Crown Court, reports Andrew Stokes, a partner and head of the safety, health and environment group at Beachcroft LLP.
