SWISS RE SHIFTS MEXICAN BUSINESS TO US

Swiss Re has stopped writing business directly through its subsidiary Swiss Re Mexico and that company’s subsidiary Reaseguros Alianza Panama. Most of the business is now written on Swiss Re America paper. There have been no job losses as a result of the change, the group confirmed. At the beginning of the year, Swiss Re put its Italian subsidiary, Swiss Re Italia, into run-off, transferring many of its duties to the headquarters in Zurich.
