America’s Cup – Measurement of “load water-line” – Whether defender can change race rules after Notice of Challenge has been issued

A number of issues came before the court for determination in relation to the America’s Cup race to be held in February 2010. Among the issues was how “load water-line” was measured and, in particular, whether SNG (the defender) could exclude moveable ballast from the measurement and whether the same procedures were used when dealing with a catamaran or trimaran
