Airline insurance market begins to harden

The airline insurance market appears to have hardened but it is not yet clear how significant the hardening is. This is according to Aon, which said in its latest Aon Airline Insurance market news for December 2009, ‘With preliminary data for 26 of the expected 65 December renewals now in place, underwriters appear to have achieved their ambition and hardened the airline insurance market significantly, with lead hull and liability premium rising on average by 24% during the month.’
