Travelers announces $500m cat bond deal with Longpoint Re II

US PROPERTY/CASUALTY group Travelers (
pictured) has acquired up to $500m in reinsurance protection against hurricanes in the north-east US through two reinsurance pacts
with newly-formed Cayman Islands-based insurer Longpoint Re II.
