EU survey on work-related accidents and health problems

Initial findings from the recently published 2007 European Union (EU) Labour Force Survey reveal that in the EU, 8.6% of workers had experienced a work-related health problem in the 12 months up to the survey. The figures are broadly the same for men (8.53%) and women (8.59%), even though women account for only a small percentage of recognised occupational illnesses in the EU.
