APIL pulls out of fixed costs talks

The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) has pulled out of talks with the Civil Justice Council (CJC) on fixed costs and fast tracking. In a statement, APIL said that following discussion with the executive committee, “APIL has informed the Civil Justice Council and Lord Justice Jackson that it will withdraw from the mediation on extending fixed costs throughout the fast track”.
