Between-the-parties costs in Ancillary Relief

M v M [2009] EWHC 1941 (Fam)

At the pre-trial review the wife attempted to have the husband’s shares in his company transferred to her. The husband vehemently opposed this, given the company’s debts and his position as a key man for the bank’s continuing support. This had the effect of changing the husband’s case as the wife had been allowed to file an amended Form A. When it became apparent that the transfer was not to happen, the wife made open proposals for periodical payments instead.
