‘Dishonest man’ loses his appeal

IN the next chapter of the conspiracy to defraud saga of Markel International Insurance Company v Surety Guarantee Consultants, QBE Insurance Europe Limited v Surety Guarantee Consultants [2008], on July 23, 2009, the Court of Appeal dismissed an appeal against the finding of dishonesty made by Teare J last year, reports Ling Ong, a partner in the London market team of Weightmans LLP.
