Figures released by the Norwegian Financial Services Association show the local non-life insurance market suffering from the
investment difficulties that affected most of the world’s players last year. Underwriting performance remained strong, with
the Norwegian market’s combined ratio deteriorating only slightly to 93.8%, but investment activities slumped to a loss of
NKr1.6bn after a profit of NKr5.5bn the year before.
