RESULTS;
Spain’s Mapfre... has reported an H1 net gain of €530.6m ($755m), up 0.2% year on year, on revenues up 13% to €10bn. Premium income was up 13.3% to €8.3bn. The revenue increase came mainly as a result of the acquisition of US-based Commerce Group. In recession-hit Spain revenue fell 1.3% to €4.6bn. Net profit fell 10% to €369.3m.
