Industry urged to play greater role in climate change mitigation

A report by the Geneva Association finds that insurers are well positioned to support the transition to a low carbon economy

For the insurance industry climate change is about more than preparing for a higher frequency of extreme weather events. Insurers as stakeholders in the society’s future activities have to work at reducing societal risks that mankind face in coming years.
