Recently published research by a group of academics in the UK throws fresh light on the Takaful insurance scene, which is
developing rapidly in Islamic countries. The research – “Cost efficiency of Takaful insurance companies” by Adams M B, H A
Kader and P Hardwick - looked at the operational efficiency of Takaful insurers, their ownership structure, governance and
other variables.
