QBE appoints regional infrastructure manager

QBE Europe has appointed Stephen Slingsby as General Manager Operations, European Markets. This is a new role within the European business and Mr. Slingsby will focus on managing the business processes and infrastructure for European Markets. He will also work closely with QBE’s underwriting and support teams both in London and in 15 countries throughout Europe. Mr. Slingsby previously worked for Royal & Sun Alliance for 22 years, where he occupied a number of senior management positions in Operations, Risk Management, Business Integration Processes, and delivery of major Global Projects for the Group. Doron Grossman, Managing Director for European Markets at QBE European Operations described Mr. Slingsby as having broad international experience having worked in the UK, Europe and Latin America. Mr. Grossmann said that QBE’s European branches were growing rapidly and therefore required dedicated infrastructure and development support.
