A failed attempt to overturn a section 25 notice

Bentley & Skinner (Bond St Jewellers) Ltd v Searchmap Ltd Chancery Division, 8 July 2003

An appeal against preliminary findings by a county court on the basis of new evidence not available at the trial, nor then discoverable with reasonable diligence, came before Mr Justice Lightman in the Chancery Division on 8 July 2003 in Bentley & Skinner (Bond St Jewellers) Ltd v Searchmap Ltd. The new evidence could, it was urged, have materially influenced the outcome had it been available.
