24.4, strike ends

Pakistan: the pilots of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) called off their seven-day strike after talks with the national carrier’s administration at the Defence Ministry. Flights reverted to the normal schedule as both sides concluded a working agreement within the stipulated timeframe. The go-slow by pilots had forced the PIA to cancel dozens of flights, resulting in losses of millions of dollars.
