P/c insurance industry will emerge from financial crisis 3% smaller

Capital and assets could fall much farther and faster than many believe, taking years to return to 2007 peaks

US property/casualty (p/c) insurers will emerge from the financial crisis smaller but stronger than other financial sectors, according to Dr Robert P Hartwig, president of the Insurance Information Institute (III).
