Robert Graham... the former senior vice-president and general counsel at US-based reinsurer General Re, has been sentenced to a year and a day in prison and ordered to pay a fine of $100,000 for his role in concocting a finite reinsurance scheme that enabled AIG to artificially boost reserves by $500m in 2000 and 2001. The four other Gen Re and AIG executives who were convicted in the case have received jail terms of two to four years.
