ALLSTATE RECRUITING NEW FLORIDA AGENTS
The Florida arm of Illinois-based insurer
Allstate has been recruiting aggressively for new agents, reports the
Brandenton Herald
.
Allstate spokeswoman Mary Beth McDade said that “we are always interested in talking to folks who might be interested in an opportunity
to be an
Allstate agent”. She noted that people who had lost their jobs — Florida’s unemployment rate is now more than 9% — could be seeking
another employment route.
Allstate is looking to add about 100 agencies — independent operations that sell
Allstate policies — throughout the state as a result of the campaign. Franchise owners receive training, sales support, marketing
help and technology consultation. Ms McDade said that “agents are on their own, but they’re not alone”.
