Proposed Defra exotic disease levy leaves UK farmers fuming

UK LIVESTOCK farmers could be forced to purchase mandatory insurance to help the government cover the cost of dealing with outbreaks of diseases such as bovine tuberculosis, foot and mouth and avian influenza which lead to the culling of animals.
