Committal for child abduction

Re A (Abduction: Contempt) [2008] EWCA Civ 1138; [2009] 1 FLR 1

After the father had abducted a child abroad and failed to comply with an order for the return of the child, the mother applied for his committal and he was duly committed to custody. The father appealed, arguing that it had not been established that he was deliberately breaching the court’s order.
