CV Starr and Ironshore form joint venture

Former AIG chairman Maurice Greenberg said his investment firm CV Starr has agreed to form a joint venture with Bermuda insurer Ironshore Inc. Iron-Starr Excess Agency will be based in Bermuda and offer excess financial and commercial lines insurance and reinsurance products. Kevin Kelley, who joined Ironshore as chief executive in December 2008, previously worked with Mr Greenberg in his role at AIG excess and surplus lines insurer Lexington Insurance. Several other former AIG executives have recently joined Ironshore, including Shaun Kelly, chief executive of Ironshore’s US operations.
