Pressure on personal insurance shrinks local market

The total French non-life insurance market (including personal classes as well as property and liability classes) shrank by
6.2% last year, to €183.6bn (US$238.4bn), according to provisional figures from the French insurers’ association Federation
Francaise des Societes d’Assurances (FFSA). In 2007 the French insurance market totalled €195.8bn.
