INDIA’S DABUR CGU LIFE FORMS MARKETING ALLIANCE WITH ABN AMRO

India-based assurer Dabur CGU Life Insurance Co, a joint venture between UK insurer CGNU and local consumer goods firm Dabur India, has reached agreement with the Indian operation of Dutch bank ABN Amro for the latter to market its products. Dabur CGU CEO Stuart Purdy said that the company hoped to use the bancassurance tie-up to tap ABN Amro’s high-net-worth clients while extending its reach. The move marks the second such alliance for the assurer, which has already agreed a similar deal with privately owned Lakshmi Vilas Bank to expand its market in southern India.
