DRESDNER CLAIMS ALLIANZ TAKEOVER WILL CREATE JOBS

Allianz's takeover of Dresdner Bank will create 3,000 new jobs over the next few years, according to Dresdner supervisory board member Sultan Salam. In an interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , Mr Salam said that Dresdner would add jobs by building up its branch network and asset management operations. He added that Allianz planned to employ 1,000 new insurance sales representatives in Dresdner branch offices while Allianz's extension of its asset management services for wealthy people would generate 1,700 new jobs. Allianz is also considering abandoning plans to close 100 existing Dresdner branch offices, claimed Mr Salam.
