Scor seeks approval for Russia subsidiary to lead regional growth

The French reinsurer hopes to launch the new operation in 2009 • Russian Re’s ratings affirmed by AM Best

Scor is to set up a composite subsidiary in Moscow to develop its business in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The reinsurer said it has applied for a licence, and hopes to obtain full approval in time to start operations next year.
