Panel chair steps down
The FSA blocked lobby plans for consumer panel
The head of the Financial Services Consumer Panel (FSCP) has resigned from the post after failing to convince the Financial
Services Authority that the panel’s remit should be expanded. Lord Lipsey, who was appointed only six months ago, had wanted
to broaden the FSCP’s traditional role of advising the FSA on how its policies affect consumers to include a more political
lobbying role on consumer issues.
