Colombian court orders health reforms to standardise services

The differences in compulsory health cover plans should be phased out over the next year

In a late August ruling, Colombia’s Constitutional Court upheld the right of citizens to receive all available and necessary medical services, including medicines and procedures, without discrimination, setting a deadline of January 2010 for universal cover.
