Beckett Investment Management Group Ltd and others v Hall and others CA TLR 11 July
The defendants were independent financial advisers who worked within the Beckett group of companies. They were employed by
Beckett Investment, the holding company. They covenanted not to supply advice to clients of the company of a type provided
by the company in the ordinary course of business for a period of 12 months after their contracts of employment had terminated.
After their employment came to an end, Beckett Investment and other companies within the group brought proceedings against
the defendants alleging breach of the covenants in restraint of trade.
