Totalise Plc v Motley Fool Ltd and Another (QBD TLR 15 March)

Motley Fool Ltd and Interactive Investor Ltd operate websites which contain discussion boards acting as discussion forums for various companies including Totalise plc, an Internet service provider. A website user known as Zeddust began posting defamatory comments about Totalise, first on Motley Fool’s website and then on Interactive Investor’s site. Totalise sought an order for disclosure of the identity of Zeddust. Section 10 of the Contempt of Court Act 1981 provides:
