Lancashire County Council and another v B (a Child) (H of L TLR 17 March)
The House of Lords has dismissed the parents’ appeal from the decision of the Court of Appeal that where a child has suffered
serious harm from non-accidental injuries inflicted either by one of the parents or by the child minder, the threshold conditions
under s31(2) of the
Children Act 1989, giving the court jurisdiction to make a care order were satisfied, even if the court was unable to identify which of them
inflicted the injuries.
