Revoking Legal Aid Protection

The claimant obtained summary judgment with costs against the defendant, the costs order being for an amount to be assessed at a future date because the defendant was protected by a legal aid certificate. Six months later the defendant’s legal aid certificate was revoked and the claimant applied to vary the costs order to provide that the defendant be ordered to pay costs forthwith.
