AON MIDDLE EAST OPENS DUBAI OFFICE

Aon Middle East has opened its regional headquarters in the Dubai International Financial Centre after receiving a regulatory licence to trade. The new office in Dubai adds to Aon’s existing offices in the Middle East including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Oman. Massoud Shaheem, Aon Middle East’s chief executive officer of retail operations, said the burgeoning construction market is driving the demand for insurance in the region. “Attitudes to risk are evolving and new insurance and risk management products designed specifically for the region are springing up almost as fast as the new building projects,” Mr Shaheem said.
