ANNUAR SENAWI SET TO TAKE OVER PROPERTY AND INSURANCE FIRM

Annuar Senawi, former head of Malaysia Nasional Insurance, is to use privately held vehicle Idaman Unggul to take over the listed status of domestic property and insurance firm Idris Hydraulic and its unit Talasco Insurance. A sector analyst quoted by Reuters said that “this means the re-entry of Annuar Senawi into the corporate mainstream and the departure of Ishak Ismail once the plan is finalised”. Idris, headed by executive director Mr Ishak, ran into financial and legal difficulties over a property deal with KFC Holdings, another entity controlled by Mr Ishak at the time.
