ZURICH FILES COURT CHALLENGE OVER ITS LIABILITIES TO MICROSOFT

Zurich American Insurance, the US commercial unit of the Zurich Financial Services group, has filed a lawsuit in federal court in Washington, arguing that liability policies written for computer software giant Microsoft do not cover damages or legal costs that the company could incur in more than 130 private antitrust lawsuits in 38 states. Microsoft has filed its own suit in federal court in Seattle on the argument that the Zurich policies should cover costs from antitrust suits.
