EARLY INTEREST IS SHOWN IN COPENHAGEN RE’S ART OPERATION
A new global alternative risk transfer business being created by Danish reinsurer Copenhagen Re and
Lloyd’s insurer Euclidian has already prompted interest within the market, according to
IFD
’s sister publication
the Re report
. Robert Johnston, managing director of Copenhagen Re’s London operation, told the newsletter that “at least two concrete
signs of interest” had been shown by potential clients. He added that the new venture was set to be a long-term partnership
between the reinsurer and Euclidian, with Copenhagen Re writing all the business and the
Lloyd’s partner providing consultancy support. “Along with a lot of other people we are very conscious of the fact that clients and
brokers are demanding tailor-made solutions to problems. This is our way of responding to that demand”, Mr Johnston told the
newsletter.
