ZURICH RE (COLOGNE) OPENS REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE IN ITALY

Zurich Re (Cologne) has opened a representative office in Milan called Zurich Re Italia Servizi di Riassicurazione, which it said would cater to the needs of the Italian life, health and accident reinsurance market. Zurich Re (Zurich) will remain responsible for non-life reinsurance in Italy. Enrico Stokelj, who joined Zurich Re in July and has more than 25 years’ experience in international direct insurance and reinsurance, has been appointed general manager of the Milan office. It is planned to open two more local representative offices in other markets within a few months. Zurich Re (Cologne) is one of the three main business units of Zurich Re.
