Charterparty concluded by exchange of telexes - Cargo of bulk rice - Whether shipowners obliged to clean vessel merely to grain standard or to higher edible rice standard

The vessel was fixed for the carriage of a cargo of bulk rice and sorghum. The charterers contended that she was not clean, as required by the contract, by the agreed cancelling date, and consequently cancelled the charter and found substitute tonnage. The charterers claimed damages from the owners.
