Tai Ping Insurance Co Ltd and Anr v Northwest Airlines Inc - US Court of Appeals (2nd Circuit) - 8 August 1996

Carriage of goods by air - Warsaw Convention - Loss of cargo prior to delivery at destination - Whether air waybill contained sufficient particulars to enable carrier to limit liability

The plaintiffs were the insurers of a cargo of aircraft parts. The defendants contracted with the seller of the cargo to provide air transportation from Chicago to Hong Kong. The cargo was lost prior to its intended arrival in Hong Kong and was never delivered.
