Whether Ghanaian cargo owners entitled to award of damages in dollars where currency of loss has fallen dramatically in value against the dollar

On 16 November 1982 14,010 tonnes of fuel oil was shipped on board the vessel Texaco Melbourne at Tema in Ghana for carriage to Takoradi, also in Ghana. The fuel oil never reached Takoradi for reasons which were not attributable to any misconduct on the part of the shipowners.
