The vessel KAS Camilla was owned by a Norwegian company. The plaintiffs, a Trinidad company, carried out certain repairs to
the vessel and provided other necessaries at its repair facility in Trinidad. The repair contract expressly provided that
the owners were to pay the full amount of the repairs plus interest, and that all aspects of the agreement were to be governed
by English law. The owners failed to pay the outstanding balance due on the repair contract.
