Mareva injunction - Court can and should look behind corporate veil when deciding whether to allow subsidiary company’s frozen funds to be released to pay legal fees

Atlas, the claimants in arbitration proceedings, had obtained a Mareva injunction against Avalon, the respondents. On 20 December 1990 Phillips J. varied the injunction to provide that Avalon should be entitled to draw from the frozen funds sufficient sums to pay legal fees and expenses.
