Whether supplier of necessaries can bring proceedings “in rem” where vessel sold before commencement of action

The plaintiff shiprepairers provided services to various vessels operated by Jensen Shipping Ltd., including the vessel Jensen Star. The services were requested by a Mr. Jorgensen, the president of Jensen Shipping, over the period from August 1982 until June 1984.
